Job Description
U.S. Safety Services is seeking an industrious, hardworking, and motivated paramedic to support U.S. Safety Services contract in Brackettville TX area. The candidate will be responsible for onsite medical response, daily safety awareness and compliance inspections as well as duties to be determined. 30-40 hrs. Week on a rotating schedule, some weekends required. Insurance (medical/dental/vision) is available.
Background check and Drug testing required
Responsibilities:
The candidate will have direct reporting responsibility to U.S. Safety Services management and will have regular interaction with client leadership and support personnel. Candidate will provide onsite medical response, daily safety awareness and compliance inspections, provide daily reports and briefings to client. Candidate will also provide training and coaching at the facilities in hazard recognition/mitigation and OSHA requirements. Candidate will educate, monitor, and train personnel in safe work procedures.
Wearing of personal protective equipment is mandatory!
Required Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience as Texas Certified Paramedic
Strong interpersonal skills with a keen desire to learn and establish rapport with people.
CPR certified
Ability to shift focus and maintain priorities in a fast paced environment
Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to clearly read and write English
Computer skills (word, excel, outlook, etc...)
Ability to operate motor vehicle
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather if needed.
H.S. Diploma/GED
Ability to receive wages through Direct Deposit
Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
HAZWOPER Certification
OSHA 10 hr.
Railroad Safety experience is a plus
CPR instructor
Experience conducting training for small and medium size groups
