Job Description
Under general supervision, provides pre-hospital emergency/non-emergency medical care to patients who are ill and/or injured within established protocol and medical direction.
Transports and transfers patients and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow.
Performs other emergency medical procedures during the ambulance transport.
Performs testing of emergency equipment and maintains supplies. Knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by Gemini Ambulance Services.
Complies with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment during transports.
Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public.
Attends and participates in general company meetings and training.
Requirements
Must be at least 20 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Texas EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic certification/licence
Current BLS CPR Card
Current PALS/ACLS Card (Paramedic)
Valid Drivers Licence
Clean Driving Record
Must obtain within 30 days of employment
