Summary: The mission and purpose of this position are to compassionately deliver high-quality service and patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner.
We currently (April-May) have Two (2) Full Time Day and Two (2) Part Time Shifts available as well as On-Call Shifts for local providers. These are IMMEDIATE Openings. MUST APPLY IN PERSON
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Great Starting Rate to Start for Qualified Drivers-EVOC REQUIRED & IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED
We DO NOT hire non-drivers.
Arrive at work location on time for scheduled shift routinely as scheduled.
Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol.
Utilize medical equipment to assess patient and carry out basic life support functions.
Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
Assist paramedic or nurse with the preparation of advanced life support equipment.
Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.
Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion.
Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene management as needed.
Drive the ambulance and follow direction of Global Positioning System and Supervisory Staff support to minimize call response time.
Maintain valid and current certifications at all times.
Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback.
Monitor and maintain the general condition of the unit, keep it clean and stocked for optimal call response to maintain the image of Eminent Medical Transport.
Document activities completely to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call.
Current Pennsylvania EMT Certification
Current Professional AHA CPR/AED Certification
Current CLEAN Drivers License 21 Years of age or Older
HIPAA Training
EVOC-Required
Ability to dead lift 200 lbs
Inter Personal Skills
Ability to Read a Map
All applicants are required to submit Quarterly Motor Vehicle Driver's Report, Drug Screen and a Criminal History
Starting Rate Commensurate with Skillset and Availability. Health Insurance and Direct Deposit after 120 days.
If you are looking for 9 to 5 or expect to get off on time all the time, this is not the place for you. We do our best to get you out on time however at Eminent Medical Transport, the customer must come first. We do run over occasionally.
