Job Description
Paramedics have the primary responsibility to act as the advocate for the patient in their care, to use critical thinking to make the best choices for the patient and the utilization of all of CareFlite's resources. This position has the primary responsibility for the delivery of safe, high quality advanced emergency and non-emergency care to patients transported by CareFlite's Ground Division. This position requires a personal commitment to CareFlite's mission, vision and core values and the willingness to demonstrate those core values in all activities performed for or on behalf of CareFlite. Paramedics are active participants in the organization and support the changes necessary for the success of CareFlite's mission to bring help and hope to all who need medical transportation. Ground Paramedics are eligible for transfer to CareFlite's Air Medical Division based on experience, training and position vacancies.
In addition to its Helicopter EMS and Fixed Wing Air Ambulance, CareFlite operates 911/EMS and interfacility ground ambulance services in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding North Texas. Job Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Current Texas Certification as EMT-P or LP
ACLS
Texas Class C Drivers License
Working Knowledge of Computers & Their Applications (all patient records are electronic)
Paramedic Experience Preferred by Not Required
