Duties Includes: develops course objectives and curriculum for the EMS and EMS refresher courses, performs direct teaching/ demonstration of EMS skills and/or facilitates hands-on learning, in the classroom, laboratory, or field setting, as appropriate, coordinates labs, evaluates cognitive, motor, and affective student competencies in the classroom, including maintaining records consistent with accreditation standards, requires travel and night, summer, and weekend classes, working in coordination with the of EMS and EMS Medical Director to assure successful student outcomes, attend meetings as necessary, other related activities as needed.

Job Requirements
Current New Mexico Paramedic and National Registry of EMTs License and three to four years related experience and/or training is required. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred (applicants without a degree will be placed on a development plan to obtain one); New Mexico Instructor Coordinator Registration (or ability to obtain within six months of employment); current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support Instructor, National Association of EMTs, Prehospital Trauma Life Support Instructor (or ability to obtain within six months of employment). Applicant must maintain a current New Mexico Driver’s License. Physical Requirements: Varied sitting, standing, bending, walking. Ability to lift up to 50lbs related equipment/office supplies. All candidates are subject to a Criminal Background Investigation prior to any offer of employment.
