Emergency Medical Technician
Provides emergency advanced care to patients in the pre-hospital
setting. The Emergency Medical Technician utilizes assessment and stabilization skills in preparation for and care of an ill or injured patient. Requirements: Valid PA drivers license, current EMT certifi cation, at least 2 years experience working as an EMT, BCLS required. ACLS Preferred.
Paramedic
Provides basic and advanced life support to any individual in need of care in time of sudden illness or injury. The Paramedic functions under the provision of Act 45 and other applicable State laws, and under Delaware County Medical Command regulations. The Paramedic functions in cooperation with other service providers and agencies to optimize the effectiveness and quality of care and services provided and to maintain the standards of pre-hospital emergency care. Requirements: Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program or it’s equivalent. Satisfactory completion of practical and written examinations administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Valid PA Drivers License, at least 2 years experience & valid BCLS and ACLS certification.
