Job Description
Eagle's Nest Camp is an 87-year-old coed camp located in the lush mountains of Western North Carolina. Eagle's Nest provides a strong, nurturing community where campers ages 6-17 are treated with respect, honor and compassion. Campers have the opportunity to participate in 1 - 3 week long sessions which emphasizes the wilderness, arts and community. Teens can participate in extended wilderness treks that include hiking the John Muir Trail, climbing in the North East, receiving Wilderness First Responder certification and hiking 100 miles on the Appalachian Trail. Our mission is experiential education for young people, promoting the natural world and the betterment of human character.
Responsibilities:
Eagle's Nest is seeking an EMT to staff our health care facility for the summer of 2014. Working with a
Registered Nurse or Physician's Assistant, the EMT is responsible for providing daily health and first aid care to approximately 160 campers and 60 staff, and working with wilderness staff to manage first aid kits. Staff will live on our campus in beautiful Pisgah Forest.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of current EMT-Basic certification, and, if certified outside of North Carolina, must be able to get reciprocal certification in this state. Wilderness EMT certification is strongly preferred.
