Job Description
Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary work team within the Emergency Department (ED) using a holistic caring approach to patient care which supports the mission and vision of Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Provides direct physical and technically skilled, age appropriate care to patients under the direction of the ED RN. Performs delegated aspects of age-appropriate patient assessment, delivery of care, and technical skills as outlined below under the RN direction. Demonstrates a caring and compassionate attitude and fosters positive customer service and a professional and cooperative work environment
Requirements
High School diploma or GED. Completed EMT-Paramedic Training Program at a Technical College (or equivalent training facility).
Minimum of one year experience as a Paramedic.
Current licensure by the State of Alabama as an Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic. Current BLS, ACLS and
PALS certification per American Heart Association Standards
