Purpose position:
The ALS Provider provides both basic and Advanced Life Support in non-emergency and emergency settings by providing ambulance transportation to the appropriate locations as either an ambulance operator or caregiver. The provider delivers a superior level of care to patients in multiple settings and throughout all phases of transport. The EMT-I/P provides patients and facility staff with quality customer service representing Eagle Medical Transport's mission and values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSAdminister first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons in pre-hospital setting.
Observe, record, and report to physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to treatment.
Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures during ambulance ride as required and allowed by protocol.
Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures such as suction, airway management, or heart monitoring, during ambulance ride.
Maintain vehicles and medical and communication equipment, and replenish first-aid equipment and supplies.
Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize appropriate responses.
Communicate with dispatchers and treatment center personnel to provide information about situation, to arrange reception of patients, and to receive instructions for further treatment.
Comfort and reassure patients.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Complete and maintain any necessary paperwork or documentation in compliance
with company policy and applicable law.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience is preferred.
EMT: Virginia State EMT- Intermediate or Paramedic
PALS, ACLS, PHTLS and/or ITLS Ceritifications
CPR - health care provider level and a Valid Driver's License.
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) preferred for most positions.
Positive points on your driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
