SUMMARY:Perform assigned duties while meeting, or exceeding the Community’s care standards. All information regarding residents is confidential, and this position requires maintaining the confidentiality of resident information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Knowledge of all Fire Alarm Systems, their locations, and operating procedures.
2. Response to Fire Alarms and knowledge of Fire Safety, Evacuation Procedures, Sprinkler Systems, and Fire Extinguishers.
3. Knowledge of all Emergency Call Systems, Response to Pull Cords, Basic First Aid, CPR, Ambulance Procedures, and accident procedures.
4. Knowledge of Elevator Procedures, Rescue, Fire Service, Independent Service, and keys.
5. Knowledge of Daily Resident Check Procedures, Ensuring resident safety and well-being.
6. Building Security- Locks, Key control, Cutting and Issuing keys to residents and staff, Interior patrols, Closed Circuit Monitors.
7. Perimeter Security- Working knowledge of Gatehouse Procedures, Exterior Patrols, Parking and Traffic Regulations, and Vehicle Operation.
8. Theft Prevention and Investigation, Police Procedures.
9. Knowledge of Radio Use and Desk Operations
10. Report Writing
11. Training all guards
12. Keeping accurate and complete Rounds Report.
13. Acting Supervisor in his/her absence.
14. Assisting Supervisor with scheduling and evaluation of guards.
15. Documentation of all worked performed.
16. Writing work orders for Maintenance and Housekeeping problems observed.
17. Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures
18. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous supervisory or leadership experience working in a Security or EMT role.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
EMT highly preferred.
