Purpose Of Position:
The ALS Provider provides both basic and Advanced Life Support in non-emergency and emergency settings by providing ambulance transportation to the appropriate locations as either an ambulance operator or caregiver. The provider delivers a superior level of care and compassion to patients in multiple settings and
throughout all phases of transport. The EMT-I/P provides patients and facility staff with quality customer service representing Eagle Medical Transport's mission and values.
Essential Job Functions:
Administer first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons as needed.
Observe, record, and report on the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to treatment.
Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures during ambulance ride as required.
Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures such as suction, airway management, or cardiac monitoring, during ambulance ride.
Maintain vehicles and medical and communication equipment, and replenish first-aid equipment and supplies.
Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize appropriate responses.
Communicate with dispatchers and treatment center personnel to provide information about situation, to arrange reception of patients, and to receive instructions for further treatment.
Comfort and reassure patients.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Complete and maintain any necessary paperwork or documentation in compliance
with company policy and applicable law.
“ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
EMT’s must be able to operate emergency vehicles for extended periods of time in all weather conditions during both day and night. The ability to perform job functions in a moving ambulance during varied lighting and temperature conditions is required. EMS positions require the ability to lift, move, and transfer patients and associated equipment (E.g. stretcher, stair chair). EMT requires ambulance operations employees (EMT-B-P, EVOC) to safely perform two person lifts for weights up to 300 pounds.
New hires are offered positions contingent upon passing the company’s lifting assessment administered by an operations supervisor or training officer.”

Required Education,Experience and Licensure
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience is preferred.
EMT: Virginia State EMT- Intermediate or Paramedic
PALS, ACLS, PHTLS and/or ITLS Ceritifications
CPR - health care provider level and a Valid Driver's License.
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) preferred for most positions.
Positive points on your driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
