Job Summary
This position requires the individual to perform patient care and transportation duties. In concert with state certification and local medical control, the incumbent will contribute to a busy metropolitan “advanced life support” ambulance service providing emergency, non-emergency, convalescent, and long distance service. The individual is required to obtain and accurately record all available billing information, including signatures, and to thoroughly and accurately document physical findings and treatment rendered on a patient care record. Workload for the position is considered demanding and the service sets specific performance requirements which must be met. The position may work under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, Operations Manager and a training officer.
Job Qualifications
Licensed EMT B with NCOEMS. (Age: 21 years old required for Hospital Risk Mgmt Insurance) CPR - American Heart Association NIMS - 100, 200, 700 - NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - This is a computer course with a test after each section.
