Shifts: 24 hour shifts, 12 hr shifts available for OT.
Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) Requirements -

NIMS Course ICS 100-200-700-800 Must be completed prior to hire.
• California Emergency Medical Technician- Paramedic Certificate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers Card (AHA or ARC)
• California Driver's License
• California Medical Examiner's Certificate
• California Ambulance Driver's Certificate
• LA City Ambulance Driver's Permit (Gerber Provides Employees with Application/Reimbursement)

• DMV (H-6) Driving Record Print Out (dated within last 15 days)

TB TEST RESULTS and Proof of Vaccinations - Hep B, Hep A Tetanus, MMR
Additionally
• Pick up DMV Handbook for CA AMB. DRIVER’s Test
• Pick up DMV MEDICAL EXAMINER FORM/CARD (DL-51)
• TB TEST RESULTS and Proof of Vaccinations - Hep B, Hep A Tetanus, MMR
• LA City Attendant/Driver Permit – Gerber will provide application to hired EMT-Basics.
Shifts and Scheduling: Electronic Scheduling System
EMT's will be assigned to either SMT or WTHF and alternate Sat.-12 hour shifts. Shift assignments vary to include weekends, nights, and holidays.
Paramedics will be on a modified kelley 24 hour schedule. Mandatory OT assigned as needed.
All personnel are subject to mandatory recall in the event of disaster, MCI, or other incident that taxes available resources.
