Vighter Medical Group is recruiting Emergency Medical Technicians –
Basic (EMT-B) at various
locations across Texas. At this time the work is expected to last 90 days, but this may change at any time. We are therefore recruiting bilingual personnel willing to work in as a part of a pool to provide services 8 hours per day 7 day a week. This is an urgent requirement for an immediate need.

- Screen detainees to determine need for further care.
- Document medical conditions on approved forms.

Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of detainee programs operating along the Southwest Border.
- Ability to quickly provide medical screening services for large detainee populations.
- The EMT: Basic, Intermediate or Paramedic must be a current and valid nationally registered EMT (or Paramedic) with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
- The EMT must possess a current and valid certification or license from the state in which EMT or paramedic skills will be performed. The certification or license must be unrestricted
- The EMT must not have any healthcare certifications or licenses withheld, suspended, revoked, or denied, and the EMT must not have surrendered, or allowed a license or certificate to expire or lapse as a result of an investigation or disciplinary action
- The EMT must not have been convicted of, or pled guilty to, or pled nolo contendre to, or received probation before judgment for any crime other than a minor traffic violation the record of which has not been expunged.
- The EMT must be a current and valid nationally registered EMT with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) If a contractor EMT does not have NREMT, then the Contractor has 45 days to obtain NREMT status
- The EMT must possess a current and valid certification or license from the state in which EMT or paramedic skills will be performed as requested in this SOW.
- Experience working with detainee populations desired.
- Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.
- Background Check required.
- English Language Proficiency required.
- Spanish Language Proficiency required
- Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to eight (8) hours per day and sit for up to three (3) hours per day.
- Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
